Bright Apple Tutoring Service, Inc. opened on June 1, 2002.
What is your primary product or service?
We provide private one-on-one tutoring exclusively in the parents' home to students in all grades, K-12, plus College Tutoring.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I owned another tutoring business on the East Coast for three years - it was a national franchise. When my family relocated in Sept. 2001, I decided to open my own tutoring business.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We provide great customer service, follow up and contract only with professional, qualified and dedicated tutors who are truly interested in helping a student succeed and attain their educational goals. We also provide a complimentary in-home consultation to get to know the student before placing a tutor. We are not a mail-order operation - personal contact is imperative in order to "make the match."
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept VISA, Master Card, American Express and Discover card, as well as personal checks.
Which areas do you service?
We service all of Ventura County and Northern Los Angeles County to Sherman Oaks on the West Side and 118 Corridor on the East Side.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Laurie Hurley is the President and Founder of Bright Apple Tutoring Service, Inc. and runs the day-to-day operations. Laurie also conducts the in-home consultations.
